We were at the Southern Sun Palazzo Hotel in Fourways, Johannesburg for the last show where we looked more into well being and relationships.
Dr Toni Luck was warmly welcomed for a second appearance on Life’s a Journey. This time she advised couples never to take their partners for granted to keep the spark alive. Her other words of wisdom: relationships must be built on trust and friendship, honour and appreciation, because if they’re not they last about 18 minutes and then you have nothing to talk about.
It felt like the local Oscars with stars such as Sandy Ngema, Zwai and Melanie Bala, Edith Venter, Basetsana Kumalo, Mara Louw, and Leanne Manas. They spoke about how they keep their relationships fresh and make sure it works in spite of their hectic schedules.
The Giggling Gourmet, Jenny Morris prepared a meal made for couples. She says: “Ginger is wonderful darling. Nature’s Viagra.” She also says chocolate and raspberries love to be in each other’s company, so you can never go wrong with that sort of a combo!
Dr Baruch Banai is an author and transformational worker. He says: “Sex is one of the most important aspects in our human life and plays a dramatic role.” He went on to say that sex is a maze that can confound or liberate. According to the doctor, relationships with others start with the relationship one has with oneself, and to move from the maze to the straight path takes a conscious effort of self discovery.
Next week our topic of discussion is Freshen Up! Be sure to watch Life’s a Journey on 16 June on SABC 3 at 8pm.
